Lexus ES300 Knock Sensor Malfunction Wiring Harness + (Location / Repair / Replacement)

     The dreaded Knock sensor malfunction codes. I bought the knock sensors online and my uncle took off the intake manifold and got to the knock sensors. He replaced both of them (shown in my other video) and then put the intake back on and all the other stuff he had to take apart. After a couple of days my check engine light went off and Passed the smog....   
   
     Not the end of my car troubles though... About a week later my transmission went out and i couldn't reverse. Blah Blah Blah The knock sensor codes came back when i got the car running again with a new transmission.          

      This is where this video takes place. Soooo this time i bought the Knock Sensor Wiring Harness because I idiotically did not buy that part for the 1st repair which was dumb because the codes came back. In this video we change only the Lexus es300 knock sensor wiring harness b/c we already change the knock sensor the first time (link to that video here: http://youtu.be/bDSmfxb1o1E )

      NICE TIP: The first time we did not change the bypass hose either & this later caused a terrible coolant leak. The hose is Unrelated to the knock sensors but this bypass hose should be changed because you have to take it off to get to the knock sensors, and if old it could later cause a bad antifreeze leak. If the hose look really old or has never been changed i suggest Parts I used to Change a Lexus Knock Sensor: -Knock Sensors (2) -- It is HIGHLY recommended that you replace both sensors due to the amount of time it takes to get to the sensors. (I ordered used ones from online).

• Knock Sensor Wiring Harness (1) - purchased it online from the Toyota parts website b/c the Lexus parts website here charged more when they were both selling the exact same product with the exact same part#.

•  By-Pass Hose (1) -- Though you could technically reuse the current by-pass hose, it is recommended that you replace it while you're doing this job. You don't want to develop that terrible coolant leak that screamingly comes from no where.

•  Intake Gaskets (1) - I didn't change this b/c mine were still good, but if your gaskets are worn or crack when you take off the intake manifold, then you definitely should change them.
